#### **Electronic Lab Notebook Template (adapted from JHU Data Management Services)** #####
We have adapated this ELN template from Johns Hopkins University Data Managment Services to help get you started with using OSF as a project management space. Each component within uses the wiki space to provide a brief explanation about suggested content and in some cases links to other helpful resources. <br>
Unlike some electronic lab notebooks, this design works mainly as a "binder" for gathering and accessing your materials from one space. You can take notes and record data in your preferred space and either connect your storage service (such as Google Drive or Box) to the OSF or upload work directly into OSF storage.
To use this template:
1. Click the fork icon in the upper right corner of the project, next to the public and private options. Select the "Duplicate Template" option from the drop down. This will save the basic structure of the project and you can edit it as you like.
2. Create a new project and name and organize it as you choose.
3. Customize it! Use all, some, or none of the components we've provided. You can customize the wiki for each component by adding information about that component and providing links to other materials. Consider using a third party storage service add-on to pull in notes and items from your preferred cloud space such as Google Drive.

**Note: This Electronic Lab Notebook template and the OSF system should not be used to store or collaborate on files that contain PHI, PII and other sensitive information. All materials related to such content must be thoroughly de-identified prior to use with the OSF. This includes Box and other linked third-party storage services.**
