Wiki Version:
Approximately 8,000 metagenome-assembled genomes from Parks et al., 2017, [Recovery of nearly 8,000 metagenome-assembled genomes substantially expands the tree of life](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41564-017-0012-7), doi:10.1038/s41564-017-0012-7. These data were posted in advance of their availability on ENA/NCBI as a courtesy, communicated by Dr. Philip Hugenholtz to Titus Brown via high-bandwidth carrier pigeon. These data do *not* yet have their official accession IDs on them, note. `uba_ar_genomes.tar.gz` contains 623 archaeal genomes. `uba_bac_1_genomes.tar.gz` contains the first 3600 bacterial genomes. `uba_bac_2_genomes.tar.gz` contains the last 3680 bacterial genomes.
