Wiki Version:
Within this research group, we have [previously reported][1] that a psychoeducational undergraduate unit, the ‘Science of Happiness’, has a positive effect on student mental well-being. Students who completed the unit reported significantly better mental well-being and reduced loneliness in comparison to the waitlist control group. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Science of Happiness unit will be taught online for the academic semester 2020/21. In this study we will (1) assess the effect of an online-administered Science of Happiness unit on undergraduate student mental well-being and perceptions of academic perfomance in the academic semester 2020/21, and (2) compare the effectiveness of online versus in-person teaching of the Science of Happiness on student mental well-being.
