Empathy for pain and alcohol Charlotte L Rae, Kyriaki Nikolaou, Kathleen W Smith, Amy Davies, Fabien Gierski, Mickael Naassil, Hugo D Critchley, Theodora Duka In this study, 71 participants underwent an empathy for pain task during fMRI. 36 participants were binge drinkers (scores of 30 or above on the Alcohol Use Questionnaire) and 35 were non-binge drinkers (score below 16). The SPSS file in this OSF repository contains the following: - demographics (country, age, gender) - alcohol use (age started drinking, units per week, grams alcohol per week, binge score, AUDIT) - trait impulsivity (Barratt Impulsivity Scale) - state and trait anxiety (Speilberger State / Trait Anxiety Inventory) - NART - empathy task data (accuracy, reaction time, pain rating)
