Description: While targeting the aim of developing a consensus statement on consistent terminology of PAB determinants, several challenges and limitations can be anticipated and a mitigation plan is being prepared: 1. Diverse perspectives: Stakeholders from various backgrounds and disciplines may have differing opinions on terminology and measurement methods. Reaching a consensus might be challenging and time-consuming. 2. Incomplete or inconsistent literature: The literature review may reveal gaps, inconsistencies, or contradictory findings, making it difficult to establish consistent terminology and measurement methods based on the existing evidence. 3. Terminology evolution: Terminology within the field of PAB determinants might have evolved over time, leading to varying definitions and interpretations of the same concept. This can create confusion when trying to establish consistent terminology. 4. Complexity of determinants: The interplay between individual, biological, psychological, behavioral, socio-cultural, and environmental factors can be complex and context-dependent, making it challenging to identify universally applicable terminology. 5. Subjectivity and cultural bias: Some determinants, particularly socio-cultural factors, may be subject to interpretation and cultural bias, which can influence the consensus process. 6. Access to relevant literature: Some relevant literature may not be readily accessible due to paywalls or language barriers, potentially limiting the comprehensiveness of the literature review. 7. Participants‘ engagement: Ensuring meaningful participation and engagement of DEPASS members may be challenging, especially in remote/virtual settings. 8. Dissemination and adoption: Ensuring widespread dissemination and adoption of the consensus statement among the research and practitioner communities might be challenging, as it requires not only effective communication but also convincing stakeholders of the benefits of adopting the new terminology. 9. Rapidly evolving field: The field of PAB determinants research may continue to evolve, and new findings could emerge after the consensus statement is finalized. This might necessitate periodic updates and revisions to maintain the statement's relevance.
