Description: Aim: To analyze the scientific evidence about the effects of workaholism on the mental health of nurses. Method: The Integrative Review will be carried out according to the steps: elaboration of the guiding question, search and selection of primary studies, evaluation of primary studies, analysis and synthesis of data and presentation of the review. The search and selection of primary studies will be carried out through the CAPES Journal Portal, through access to the Federated Academic Community (CAFe), with the selection of the higher education institution Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI), in the following databases and bibliographic index: Database in Nursing (BDENF) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), via Virtual Health Library (BVS), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System online (MEDLINE), via PubMed, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL-Ebsco), Web of Science, Scopus and Embase. The list of references of the included studies will be read in search of additional evidence regarding the topic. Inclusion criteria were: primary studies related to the theme, carried out with nurses, without temporal or language delimitation. The following exclusion criteria were adopted: studies that did not respond to the guiding question, theses, dissertations, course conclusion works and editorials. Data will be extracted by adapting a validated instrument containing: title, authors, year of publication, country, journal, study design, study objective, main results, conclusions and level of evidence. For the classification of the Level of Evidence (LE) of the primary studies, the model proposed by Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt. To analyze the methodological quality of the studies, instruments proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute will be used, according to each type of study. The critical analysis and qualitative synthesis of the selected studies will be carried out descriptively, with the presentation of information through tables. In these tables, the studies will be characterized according to the collected variables of interest. If the results of primary studies allow grouping, thematic categories will be built. The results will be presented in the format of a scientific article, which will provide subsidies for evidence-based practice and decision-making. It will contribute to the identification of factors related to work addiction and mental illness in nurses, in order to recommend further studies and the development of intervention strategies to promote workers' health.
