Data analyzed in Menétrey, M.Q., Pascucci, D. Spectral tuning and after-effects in neural entrainment. Behav Brain Funct 20, 29 (2024). https://doi.org/10.1186/s12993-024-00259-6 Using these EEG recordings during a visual entrainment paradigm (oscillating annulus at 10 Hz or flickering randomly), we assessed characteristic changes in the spectral content of EEG signals due to entrainment. All the data collected and analyzed in this study (i.e., raw and preprocessed EEG, and behavioral variables) are available here: - EEG files (raw and preprocessed; .set files): Raw EEG data collected during the entrainment paradigm, as well as preprocessed data used for the analyses in the study. Preprocessed data contain only the trials that were retained for the analyses (see the manuscript for additional information about pre-processing). - Behavior files (.mat files): These files provide information about each trial. The most useful information is the variable condition [1 = entrainment, 0 = noise]. Following the annulus, the SQM task was presented (see Drissi et al., 2021; https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-019-12919-7). Information about the SQM and performance in vernier offset discrimination are also reported in the table: the attended stream [attend_stream: 1 = right stream], the offset direction of the central vernier [offdir: -1 = left, 1 = right], and the response given by the participants [hit: 1 = the reported offset corresponds to the central vernier, 0 = the reported offset does not correspond to the central vernier. Note that the 6 first participants were presented two opposite verniers in the attended stream, while the rest of the participants had only one central vernier, followed by straight lines]. In both conditions (10 Hz or Noise), the annulus was presented for either 1400 or 1450 ms, and then it always showed periodic fluctuations at 10 Hz for an additional period of 183 ms. The duration of each stimulation is indicated by the variable total_ms. A consequence of these two different durations is that the SQM onset could be presented at two different phases [cycle_pos: 1 = rising phase, 2 = falling phase].
