Description: There exists a need for effective non-opioid pain management strategies after primary anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). The purpose of this study is to test the hypotheses that postoperative physical therapy (PT) is associated with a significant decrease in the risk ratio (RR) and number of instances of oral opioid prescription through one year after primary ACDF while secondarily exploring the prescription/administration of opioids via any route.
