Description: To understand how well District government is performing, we often ask residents for direct feedback about their experience or satisfaction with a service or agency. However, the ad hoc manner in which we conduct these surveys can result in poor survey design, poor response rates, and limited reliability of the data the surveys produce. The consolidated survey platform (CSP) aimed to resolve these issues by creating a streamlined and accessible way for residents to engage with District government. Residents were invited to join the District’s panel of respondents and to complete short, digital-based surveys (via web, mobile device, etc.) on a frequency of their choosing. Through the CSP, the District would be able to quickly develop and deploy surveys to evaluate issues that are timely and relevant while also reliably measuring changes in attitudes or experiences over time. Due to lack of funding, the project was canceled.
