Wiki Version:
For this study, we hope to receive 80 participants, on the campus of Brigham Young University - Idaho. These participants will be undergraduate Psychology students from the General Psychology, Cognition, and Research Methods classes. We will be using the Nelson-Denny reading comprehension, Version E to evaluate mind wandering between reading easy and difficult text. The participants will be timed for reading each passage, as well as taking a comprehension exam after each passage. Occasionally, there will be probes that will pop up as the participant is reading, asking if he/she is mind wandering, and he/she will respond yes they were on topic, or no they were mind wandering. This test will take approximately 30 minutes, in which the incentive will be credit or extra credit for the class he/she is in this semester.
