Believing in Benevolent Sexism: Endorsement Influences Its Effects

Participants were randomly assigned to read a story presenting either benevolent or hostile sexism then completed questionnaires assessing trait mindfulness, past discrimination, and endorsement of benevolent and hostile attitudes. Endorsement of benevolent attitudes moderated the effect of story condition on self-reported psychological health.
