This repository includes experiment scripts, data processing scripts, and csv files for a project using eye movement methodology to investigate the processing of novel abbreviations. Experiment 1 (acronym items) & 2 (initialism items) involve the processing of novel abbreviations during silent reading. Experiment 2 involves the processing of novel abbreviations during reading aloud and silent reading. Both experiments were run in the UMASS EyeTrack system and the analysis scripts read in DA1 files from EyeDoctor.
