Wiki Version:
The ambition of this project is no less than to harmonize all the available data on trust into one file, to study correlates of trust with the highest possible number of observations. With a growing group of academics we have now identified more than 300 different surveys including at least one question on generalized trust. More information on the project is available at https://globaltrustresearch.wordpress.com/ The consortium is an open collaboration. However, harmonized data will not be redistributed. This project was inspired by a review of the research on trust: [Dinesen, P.T. & Bekkers, R. (2016). ‘The Foundations of Individuals’ Generalized Social Trust: A Review’. In: Van Lange, P.A.M., Rockenbach, B., & Yamagishi, T. (Eds.). Trust in Social Dilemmas. Series in Human Cooperation, Volume 2. Oxford: Oxford University Press.][1] A low-intensity contribution to this project may consist of suggesting data sources that we can add and / or sharing syntax / code that you have for these data. A file listing the datasets we have located is [here][2]. The workflow is displayed [here][3].
