# Perception and EEG signals triggered by tonic warm and cool stimulation: data [Associated article][1] ## "Intensity ratings" folder ○ ratings_data_14subj.mat contains (not normalized) intensity_ratings (6,14) cell array containing the raw intensity ratings (not normalized) for each condition (row) and subject (column). Each entry is a vector of intensity ratings along time. Due to technical problems, subject 3 could not receive the stimuli from the cool large-fixed condition and 5 other recordings (2 for subject 3 and 3 for subject 11) were interrupted a few cycles before the end of stimulation. Removing these subjects does not change the results presented in the paper (it only reduces effect sizes). temperature_matrices (6,1) cell array containing a matrix in each entry giving the temperature waveform of each of the 6 conditions (with the time along the rows and the 5 stimulator zones along the columns). condition_names names of the six conditions, where w = warm, c = cool, 2 or 5 = number of active zones at each time fix = fixed and var = variable. SR sampling frequency. ○ rating_peaks_14subj.mat contains (normalized to first peak) peak_latencies (6,1) cell array with a (14,1) cell array in each entry (i.e. for each condition) containing the latencies of the rating peaks across cycles, computed with respect to the latencies of maximal temperature change per cycle. peak_amplitudes (6,1) cell array with a (14,1) cell array in each entry (i.e. for each condition) containing the rating peaks across cycles, normalized to the ratings of the first cycle. condition_names names of the six conditions, where w = warm, c = cool, 2 or 5 = number of active zones at each time fix = fixed and var = variable. ## "EEG recordings" folder ○ EEG_data_15subj.mat contains EEG_time_courses (15,4) cell array containing the EEG time courses averaged across the epochs for each subject (row) and condition (column). Each entry is a (64,75000) matrix of EEG amplitudes for each channel (row) and along time (column). temperature_matrices (4,1) cell array containing a (75000,5) matrix in each entry giving the temperature waveform of each of the 4 conditions (75000 time steps and 5 stimulator zones). condition_names names of the four conditions, where w = warm, c = cool, 2 or 5 = number of active zones at each time fix = fixed and var = variable. fs sampling frequency. chanlocs channel locations. ○ EEG_data_15subj_xx_yyHz.mat contains the same elements as EEG_data_15subj.mat, but for the envelopes in the frequency band [xx, yy] Hz.
