The Event Task Stimulus Set was created to measure access to generalized events stored in semantic memory. It has been examined in a large normative sample as well as in people with neurological disorders (Dresang, Dickey, & Warren, 2020), and to measure semantic violations in visual processing (Proverbio & Riva, 2009). ......................................................................................................................... **File information:** Please find the following materials in 'Files' below: 1. A printable PDF scoresheet ......................................................................................................................... **Task administration information:** The Event Task has three blocks: a practice block (n=4 trials), experiment block 1 (n=128 trials), and experiment block 2 (n=128 trials). Participants should respond 'yes' or 'no' to each stimulus, saying whether the stimulus shows something that might normally happen. Responses may be given verbally, gesturally (e.g., thumbs up vs. thumbs down), or by pointing to the response prompt card (provided). Feedback may be given during the practice block only. A break is encouraged between blocks 1 and 2. During the experiment blocks, participants should be given 5 seconds to respond per stimulus. Note: the stimuli as presented in the PDF version differ from the original task presentation reported in Dresang, Dickey & Warren (2020) in the following ways: the response prompt was provided on screen prior to each stimulus, along with a fixation cross.
