Description: Based on two empirical studies, this research investigates (a) the moral domains in which (perceived) violations in the form of political statements lead to terminating digital ties, (b) the relational contexts in which moral violations entail unfriending decisions, and (c) the potential social rewards (e.g., social support) that might inhibit users to unfriend or unfollow someone despite moral dissents.
