Description: Atrial fibrillation (AF) significantly contributes to acute ischemic stroke, with undetected AF being a common culprit in cryptogenic strokes. N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) has been proposed as a biomarker for AF detection, however the diagnostic accuracy of NT-proBNP remains uncertain. This study aims to determine the diagnostic accuracy of NT-proBNP in detecting AF in patients with cryptogenic stroke.
