The database design [cooperative exercise][1] consists of 2 parts: 1. Given requirements, draw an ER diagram 2. Given an ER diagram, map it to a relational database schema The requirements for drawing an ER diagram emphasize entites, relationships, and their corresponding cardinality and participation constraints. The ER diagram to map is not related to the requirements given in part 1.
