Miroslava Lemešová, Comenius University in Bratislava, lemesova@fedu.uniba.sk Abstract: The poster reports the findings from two exploratory studies (N = 217) on Slovak pre-service teachers´ perceptions of psychological concepts, the role of psychology in their professional training and their self-theories of intelligence and personality. Suggestions for the teaching of psychology to prospective teachers were done based on the empirical data. The study was supported by grant VEGA no. 1/0409/17 Teachers’ personality and professional vision related to the dealing with challenging situations in the classroom during the transition into service.
