**Evaluation study of Affectica/FACET emotion algorithms** 1. Tasks - IAPS Pictures [7 * 8 = **56**] for each of the seven basic emotions categorized in Affectiva/FACET; DV: Rating scale - GAPED Pictures [3 * 8 = **24**] for positive/negative/neutral emotions categorized in Affectiva/FACET; DV: Rating scale - Gambles [**30**] gain/loss gambles played out; DV: Rating scale of emotional reaction to win/loss - Mimicry [7 * 6 = **42**] imitate each of the seven basic emotions categorized in Affectiva/FACET; DV: congruency to shown emotion - Instructed emotions [**7**] instruct seven basic emotions; DV: Rating scale 2. Participants - 200 participants, 100 female, incentivized student population, right handed. Further selection criteria based on iMotions manual. 3. Method - block design, randomized - picture/feedback/instruction presentation for 5 seconds - ratings scales for basic emotions / valence 4. Analysis - Match between rating scale and emotion trigger and emotional expression - cross section over time period 150 frames - development over time
