Wiki Version:
From Towse, A.S., Ellis, D.A, & Towse, J.N. (2021). Making data meaningful: Guidelines for good quality open data. *Journal of Social Psychology*. ---------- "We share with the Journal of Social Psychology the belief that usable and open data is good for social psychology and supports effective knowledge exchange within and beyond academia. For this to happen, we must have not just more open data, but open data that is of a sufficient quality to support repeated use and replication... We outline several simple steps and point towards a set of freely available resources that can help make datasets more valuable and impactful. **Specifically, we explain how to make your data meaningful; easily findable, accessible, complete and understandable**." ---------- Within this project, organised into separate components, you will see: - The background, in the form of the JSP open data policy and our empirical analysis of open datasets in psychology (along with a link to that project on OSF). - The "Making Data Meaningful" paper. - Supporting information - a checklist for data sharing, a guide to Open Ended Registrations in OSF, and a resource wiki with external links.
