Description: Moral decisions are notoriously difficult. It is likely that multiple factors, or “attributes”, influence such choices. For example, when determining which of two individuals should receive an important medical procedure such as a kidney transplant, doctors weigh all relevant health information. However, they may also weigh moral information, such as the likelihood that the patient’s previous life choices – good or bad – resulted in the need for the transplant. Here, we are investigating how such factors are weighted in moral choices. We will use eye tracking information to understand the patterns of how and when information about a choice is acquired as well.
