MATERIALS We utilized SurveyMonkey to survey demographic information. We used the critical video, the test image, the instructions, and the crossword puzzle from the original study. The video, test image, confidence ratings, and instructions were presented on the stimulus presentation software program, Superlab, on 21-inch iMac computers. The crossword puzzle was paper and pencil. For our third condition, we used a countertop bell, which we placed next to the computer keyboard.
