Wiki Version:
This OSF project contains the complete data sets analysed and reported in Carragher, D. J., & Hancock, P.J.B. "*Surgical face masks impair face matching performance for familiar and unfamiliar faces*". This project is currently undergoing peer-review. Updates to the project will be made periodically. This project contains two seperate data files, one for human data, and one for data from the Deep Neural Networks. Each file contains data for the GFMT and SFFMT face matching tasks. The human data set contains the data from the final analyses reported in the manuscript; excluded participants and excluded trials (due to performance on the recognition test), have already been removed. Rather than write an expansive description of the different variables in this wiki, both spreadsheets have their own legend (Tab 1 "Variable Descriptions"), which explains the nature of the data in each column. I would recommend downloading the datasets as Excel files, which will make the legends easier to read. If you have any questions about the data file, or about the article in general, please send me an email: danieljcarragher@gmail.com
