# Building your example project You can build out a template project with whatever elements you need for your discipline. The actual content of the template component will not be copied over to new projects but whatever component sections you add, along with their names, *will* be copied over. Also, any copyright licenses you may have set at the top level project or on the individual components will be copied over when new projects are built from the template. The focus in building your template should be on the basic structure you wish all projects in your lab to share.
