This project tests the effects of diversity in positive (CS+, stimuli predicting an outcome) and negative (CS-, stimuli predicting no outcome) evidence in a differential design. It was expected that learning about a diverse range of exemplars would lead to more generalization to novel category exemplars.
**NSW07a**
Pilot study collecting typicality and similarity ratings for various pictures of fruits and vegetables.
**NSW07**
- Stimuli and groups vary slightly between versions.
- Version 1: Compared Non-Diverse and Diverse CS- groups.
- Version 2: Compared Non-Diverse and Diverse CS- groups.
- Version 3: Compared Non-Diverse, Diverse CS-, and Diverse CS+ groups.
**NSW14**
Replication of NSW07 (version 3) with a minor change to the non-diverse stimuli.
