Cognitive training (also known as ‘brain training’) aims to develop core cognitive functions – such as memory and attention – that underpin performance in many daily tasks. The rationale behind this approach is that if core cognitive abilities can be trained and developed, there should be downstream performance enhancements across a multitude of tasks that depend upon those same cognitive abilities.
In this project we tested an online inhibition training intervention for improving shoot/don't-shoot decision making.
The online materials show the pre-registration document for the online cognitive training trial.
In the 'Matlab' folder are scripts from processing the data from the cognitive tasks (which are available on GitHub - https://github.com/Harris-D/Shoot-dont-shoot) and deriving the performance variables.
In the 'paper' folder are supplementary materials with alternate analyses and a dropout analysis.
