Wiki Version:
Two tools to extract text from *.txt.rtfd documents created by TextEdit. First I run the shell script ("rtftotxt"), which converts the TXT.rtf in each folder into a text document ("TXT.txt"). Then I use the LiveCode script to copy the TXT.txt in each sub-folder into a separate folder, and use the name of the subfolder for the text document. There is only one button in the LiveCode stack: "Convert". First you need to pick the folder where the *.txt.rtfd subfolders are located (i.e. the subfolders that correspond to a TextEdit document each). Second you need to pick the folder where you want the extracted text documents to be. The text field provides a kind of log. The scripts worked on my GNU/Linux machine, but do make sure to back up your data before trying them on your data.
