Wiki Version:
In 2014 and 2015, Katy Garmany and I (Colette Salyk) taught introductory astronomy courses at Tohono O'odham Community College (TOCC) - a tribal college located at the base of Kitt Peak. Kitt Peak is part of the Tohono O'odham nation, but is leased to the US astronomical community and hosts Kitt Peak National Observatory. In this poster, I describe some of the history of Kitt Peak and the Tohono O'odham nation, and discuss our experience teaching these courses.
