Wiki Version:
Data sharing guidelines seek to increase the findability and accessibility of research outputs parallel to traditional manuscripts. Documenting and sharing code, materials, and data contribute to persistent availability, additional context for studies, and improved reproducibility, while also demonstrating a researcher’s commitment and impact across the research lifecycle. Choosing an appropriate license for content gives researchers control over who can use their content, under what conditions they can use it, and how to attribute the creator.
