Wiki Version:
**Single Subject Data Processing and Analysis** * Single subject data processing and analysis is performed by the "BKN553_Subject_Analysis_Script.m" file * For this to work as intended, the file must be copied into the folder containing the raw accelerometer data assigned for each participant * Notes: * Upon running the file in Matlab, three input prompts that need to be filled out will appear in the command window asking for the: * Participant's mass (in kg) * Height of the short staircase (in m) * Height of the long staircase (in m) * A pop-out window will then open for the directory that contains this analysis file: * Select the raw accelerometer data for processing and analysis * Choose the three trials associated with the short staircase height first followed by the three trials associated with long staircase height * Output: * A matrix containing normalized average power, average force, and average velocity for each stair height condition saved as a .mat file * A figure containing plots of the raw vertical acceleration data as a function of time and processed vertical acceleration data as a function of time using data from the last long staircase height trial **Group Data Processing and Analysis** * Group data processing and analysis is performed by the "BKN553_Group_Analysis_Script.m" file * For this to work as intended, the file must be copied into the folder containing all the .mat files for each participant obtained as output after running the single subject data processing and analysis script file * Notes: * Upon running the file in Matlab, a pop-out window will then open for the directory that contains this analysis file: * Select the .mat files for each participant in ascending order (S1 first, followed by S2, and so on) * Output: * A matrix containing means and standard deviations for each of the variables of interest arranged by staircase height and training modality saved as a single .mat file * A box plot for each of the following variables: * Normalized average power * Average force * Average velocity
