Description: This protocol outlines a scoping review aimed at identifying and characterising workplace health and wellbeing programmes offered by local authorities across the United Kingdom. The review will involve a comprehensive search of Local Authority Districts (LADs) and county councils' websites, followed by direct communications to gather relevant data. The initiatives must be designed to enhance workplace health and wellbeing, currently active, and offered at no cost to workplaces. Data will be extracted on regional deprivation level, health focus, workplace eligibility, and accreditation processes. By employing descriptive statistics and geographical mapping, the review will analyse and visualise the distribution and characteristics of these programmes, highlighting regional disparities and identifying gaps in provision. The findings will provide a detailed overview of existing local government initiatives, guiding future efforts to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and effectiveness of workplace health and wellbeing support in the UK.
