## ReadMe ## This repository provides the data and analysis code from "No evidence for proactive suppression of explicitly cued distractor features." The manuscript is available at the linked PsyArXiv page. ### Experimental Code ### Experimental materials are available in the `code` folder. Each experiment (Exp 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, S1a, and S1b) has its own folder, including the main .html script and dependent .js files, .css files, and in the `images` folder, stimulus files. ### Data and Analysis Code ### Each experiment has a single `analysis` directory for data and analysis scripts. Each participant has a single .txt file in the `data` subfolder. Preprocessing scripts (e.g., Exp1a_Preprocessing.Rmd) will combine behavioral data from all participants into a combined .csv file (e.g., exp1a_rawData.csv). The combined .csv files generated by the preprocessing R scripts (one per experiment) are what were used in all statistical analyses. All reported analyses of behavioral data and code to generate behavioral data graphs (in some cases manually combined into figures in the manuscript) are available in the R markdown files (e.g., Exp1a_Analysis.Rmd). Cross-experiment analyses (e.g., comparing Exp 1a and Exp 1b) are located in Exp 1b and 2b analysis files. There are additional .csv files reporting participant means within each condition (e.g., e1aMeans.csv) used in some cross-experiment analyses. Keys for all post-processed variables (e.g, in exp1a_rawData.csv) describe each data column. ### Figures ### The single `figures` folder contains code to generate the main data figure, Figure2Means.pdf, in the R markdown file ProactiveEnhancementFigures.Rmd. Schematic figures were created in PowerPoint and located in the Schematics.pptx file.
