Description: Home heating accounts for 13-14% of total UK carbon emissions. Adopting low carbon heating (e.g. a heat pump) is more difficult and more expensive than fossil fuel alternatives (e.g. a gas boiler). In this study, in a sample of UK homeowners who are currently heating their homes using gas, we aim to estimate the willingness to pay to replace their gas boiler with an air source heat pump using an online discrete choice experiment.
