Description: The current research applies an interactionist perspective and examines how individuals with low vs. high levels of governmental trust differ in their predominant motivations to follow the Covid-19 containment rules. It sets out to examine the role of governmental trust as a boundary condition to render pro-social motivation versus fear of Covid-19 more or less influential for engaging in socially responsive Covid-19 behaviors and for vaccination intentions. It will test these associations across different countries.
