All manuscripts submitted to The Journal of Social Psychology after January, 2018 must earn Open Materials Badges in order to achieve Research Materials Transparency requirements. This is one way to do it. Authors earning Open Materials Badges should create a component on their OSF page called Materials. 1. upload all stimuli and experimenter protocols necessary to run the experiment; 2. add to the Wiki (or in an uploaded file) any further instructions or considerations that independent researchers 3. add the self-disclosure statement meeting the [COS criteria][1] on the Wiki 4. register the page. To register the page, see "badge-registration-instructions.pptx" slide show on the main page. Before registering a page, remember that this is a permanent act. Please consult the editor before completing the registration process and make sure final project is complete so as to avoid multiple registrations of same project. 5. include a footnote in the manuscript at the beginning of the Method section and add a self-disclosure statement meeting the [COS criteria][2] that directs the reader to a "registered" version of the OSF project (either overall or to the specific materials component) > COS Self-Diclosure Criteria for Open Materials > Open Materials: Authors complete two disclosure items for each Open > Materials badge application: > > Provide the URL, DOI, or other permanent path for accessing the > materials in a public, open access repository. > > Is there sufficient information for an independent researcher to > reproduce the reported methodology?
