Description: There is increasing support for integrating non-lawyers into the legal profession to provide limited assistance to individuals who are unable to afford an attorney. Yet, there exists no rigorous evidence of their effectiveness in this setting. This study will use a randomized control trial methodology to compare assistance provided by non-lawyer AmeriCorps members to self-help materials in cases involving parenting modification plans.
