Wiki Version:
This repository contains data and analysis files for our paper "Meaning and use in the expression of estimative probability" which is published in *Open Mind*. The repository consists of four folders: 1. **appendix**: extensive description of the two experiments. 2. **code**: files required for fitting and evaluating the computational models. 2. **exp1**: data and analysis files for Exp. 1, in which participants described the probability of taking a red marble from urns containing 100 black and red marbles. Note that the data have been anonymised (i.e., Mechanical Turk IDs have been removed). In addition, all responses containing numbers or number words, as well as all nonsensical responses, have been removed. 3. **exp2**: data and analysis files for Exp. 2, in which participants estimated the percentage of red marbles in urns containing 100 black and red marbles. Note that the data have been anonymised (i.e., Mechanical Turk IDs have been removed).
