This project corresponds to the following paper: Test Anxiety Does Not Predict Exam Performance When Knowledge Is Controlled For: Strong Evidence Against the Interference Hypothesis of Test Anxiety. *Psychological Science*. https://doi.org/10.1177/0956797622111939 Data analyses were performed using R and MPlus. In this project, you can find the following: The data ("data.RData") and the data analysis script in R ("analysis_script.R") along with a codebook can be found under /data analysis/R. The folder further contains two data files ("know.RData" and "mock_to_exam.RData"), which can be used to generate the plots in Figure 1 and Figure 2. The data and the data analysis outputs for the analyses conducted in MPlus can be found under /data analysis/MPlus. The output files also contain the data analysis script. The folder contains: - the data ("lcmdata.dat") and the analysis scripts to estimate the latent change model ("script_lcm_perf_change_estimate_step1", "script_lcm_perf_change_estimate_step2") as well as the data ("datalcm_prep.dat") and the analysis scripts for the latent change model reported in the supplementary analyses ("script_lcm_prep_perf_change_estimate_step1", "script_lcm_prep_perf_change_estimate_step2") - the data ("daydata.dat") and the analysis script to estimate the dynamic structural equation model ("script_DSEM_reciprocal_links") - the data ("know.dat") and the analysis script to test the moderating effect of trait test anxiety on the increase in knowledge over time ("script_know_over_time_on_trait_anx") The /methods folder contains - information on the study procedures - screenshots of the pre- and post-questionnaires - screenshots of the daily pre-learning and post-learning ambulatory assessment questionnaires (learning diaries)
