Wiki Version:
Here you find data for the manuscript: **Dimigen (2018). Optimized ICA-based removal of ocular EEG artifacts from free viewing experiments. BioRxiv. https://doi.org/10.1101/44695** The file **opticat_opendata_20181210.mat** is a MATLAB data file that contains the results for each of the 19,200 different Independent Component Analysis outcomes compared in this study. These data are the basis for the main results figure (Figure 3) in the manuscript. The file **opticat_opendata_infos.txt** documents what is stored where in the MATLAB structure. For each outcome, the structure in the data frame contains the three main dependent measures investigated (size of the corneoretinal artifact, spike potential artifact, and neural ERP distortion). In addition, the structure contains all of the computed ICA weights and sphering matrices, their saccade/fixation variance ratios, and whether they were removed at a given threshold or not. Please note that the underlying raw EEG datasets are currently not provided here but can be shared for the purpose of testing or comparing ocular correction methods.
