Description: This project investigated within individual variability in lateralisation across different language tasks, and tested the hypothesis that inconsistent lateralisation is associated with poorer language functioning. We measured lateralisation for three different language tasks within the same individuals using fTCD, and administered a comprehensive language assessment battery with the same participants. This was tested in a large sample (n = 104) of individuals, with an overrepresentation of individuals with a developmental disorder affecting language (n = 67).
