Description: Terror management theory (TMT) suggests that people exposed to death reminders are likely to bolster their worldview in response. The present study examines data from longitudinal survey responders during the COVID-19 pandemic who may have been exposed to death via a personal loss. Participants were also surveyed on their adherence to CDC guidelines, vaccination status, trust in medical institutions, and support for COVID public policy.
