Expectations ------------ Consistent with the results of the meta-analysis of ego-depletion research (Hagger, Wood, Stiff, & Chatzisarantis, 2010), we expect to find a medium effect size of ego depletion such that those in the experimental condition will have significantly higher reaction times and reaction time variability for inconsistent trials on the multi-source interference task, compared to those in the control condition.
