# Open science links ## General * [LMU OSC flyer](https://www.osc.uni-muenchen.de/news/os_flyer/index.html) * [LMU OSC toolbox](https://www.osc.uni-muenchen.de/toolbox/index.html): "Our goal is to give a short overview on possibilities of how to enhance your Open Science practices without consuming too much of your time" * [How-to-open.science](https://how-to-open.science): "This is an annotated collection of practical resources for researchers interested in using open practices. Additions and revisions are very welcome!" * [German Open Science Network](https://osf.io/tbkzh/). Also hosted on the OSF, has a ton of interesting material, including teaching material. * [BIH QUEST CENTER FOR TRANSFORMING BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH: THE QUEST TOOLBOX](https://www.bihealth.org/de/quest-center/mission-ansaetze/open-science-einstiegsseite/quest-toolbox/?L=0): "The QUEST Toolbox contains helpful tools, programs and online platforms aimed at facilitating the reproducibility of a research project on all stages." * [Netzwerk der Open-Science-Initiativen (NOSI)](https://osf.io/tbkzh/): "This project is the central platform for the Network of (German-speaking) Open Science Initiatives (Netzwerk der Open-Science-Initiativen, NOSI). We're providing protocols, links, and resources that might be of interest to others interested in Open Science." ## Study design ## Preregistration - The OSF [provides a comprehensive guide](http://help.osf.io/m/registrations/l/524205-register-your-project) to preregistration withinthe OSF. This guide also [lists the various different registration forms.](http://help.osf.io/m/registrations/l/524206-understand-registration-forms) - [prerep package](https://cran.r-project.org/package=prereg): A simple way of creating preregistration documents using `markdown` and `R` is available via the [`R` package `prereg`](https://cran.r-project.org/package=prereg). This package contains several different preregirstration form, from simple (e.g., [`AsPredicted.org`](https://aspredicted.org/) template) to comprehensive (e.g., COS preregistration challenge). - [AsPredicted.org](https://aspredicted.org/) provides the perhaps simplest way to obtain a time stamped registered preregistration. Simply fill out their online form and save the link to your preregistration. - [The Open Science Framework](https://osf.io) allows comprehensive preregistration including arbitrary files (e.g., stimulus materials, experiment scripts, analysis scripts). ## Open data ## Open methods/code * [Introduction to GitHub](https://guides.github.com/activities/hello-world/): "GitHub is a code hosting platform for version control and collaboration. It lets you and others work together on projects from anywhere." * [Blischak et al, 2016: A Quick Introduction to Version Control with Git and GitHub](http://journals.plos.org/ploscompbiol/article/file?id=10.1371/journal.pcbi.1004668&type=printable) * [Git for Scientists in 2 minutes](http://www.dnacoil.com/tools/git-for-scientists-in-2-minutes/) * ## Open Science in Job Advertisements [The Statement used in Advertisments of the Department of Psychology, UZH.](https://osf.io/hbk6t/) ## Ethic Approval and Grant Applications The Open Science work group provides examples for researchers and students, who plan to apply for ethics approval and/or funding: * Data Managment Plan ([Example #1][1], [Example #2][2], [Example #3][3], [further information][4]) * Einverständniserklärung für Weitergabe der Daten (i.e. data sharing) ([Example #1][5], [Example #2][6]) * Ethikanträge mit Open Science Anteilen (*coming soon*) [1]: https://osf.io/gpqu8/ [2]: https://osf.io/myn8q/ [3]: https://osf.io/md6w5/ [4]: https://osf.io/6zpuh/ [5]: https://osf.io/75hq6/ [6]: https://osf.io/3kmsv/
