Wiki Version:
This repo contains: in */rawData*, all the participants' data files as they came out of the testing computers; in */analysis*, the pre-processing and the analysis scripts with subfolders; in */stimuli*, the stimuli used for the masked priming experiment with all covariates (e.g., word frequency, word length). */tools* contains instead one subsidiary piece of code, which the authors used to clean the dataset from outliers. *preprocessedData.txt* contains the data as they come out of the pre-processing steps, ready to be submitted to *analysis.R*. Note that in */analysis/* there are two subfolders. In the */GLMMs/* folder there are the generalised linear mixed models we discuss in the paper. We suggest to simply download them before running the script, as these are loaded automatically. We prefer to provide them as downloadable file in order to avoid to re-run each single model every time. In fact these could take considerable time to converge depending on the type of glmer version and computer. In */jackknife/* instead, you can find the code and the output data of the jackknife procedure presented in the paper. To re-run all the analyses, the user should simply download the whole package in a local directory (the "mount point"), report that directory at the top of the pre-processing and analysis scripts, and just run the whole code with all the subfolders present. The user can also skip the pre-processing by running only the code contained in *analysis.R* (see lines 20-21 in this file). Viviani and Crepaldi - 2021 - preprint.pdf is the pre-print of the paper, which was submitted at Journal of Memory and Language. The manuscript has been revised twice, and in the "revisions" section you can find all the stages of reviews. The manuscript has been rejected and resubmitted to Journal of Experimental Psychology General. You can find this version of the manuscript in the forked project
