**Youtube video presentation with captions:** https://youtu.be/nkhXVzjizFQ **Abstract:** Human language has a unique characteristic where we can create infinite and novel phrases/sentences; this stems from the ability of composition, which allows us to combine smaller units into bigger meaningful units. However, it is unclear “how” neural circuits actually implement compositional processes. This study investigates the temporal dynamics of information integration reflected in delta oscillations (0.5-3Hz) by conducting an EEG experiment. The length of syllables and regularity between syllables were manipulated. The correlation between the comprehension score and the entrainment in delta oscillations is examined. Moreover, how irregularity in speech affects sentence understanding is addressed. Please leave your comments/questions in Comments, I will reply to you soon! Thank you!
