Category: Project

Description: In the face of disconfirming evidence, individuals can engage in motivated reasoning to explain away events or convince themselves that they knew an outcome was going to happen. This line of work investigates preregistration as an intervention for reducing this motivated reasoning and promoting accurate updating of beliefs. Explanations of studies can be found in the Wiki and materials can be found under Files.
