![Mobilise Logo][1] [Link to main project website][2] European Natural Science Collections host approximately 1.5 billion biological and geological collection objects, which represent about 80% of the known current and past biological and geological diversity on earth. The MOBILISE COST Action will foster a cooperative network in Europe to support excellent research activities, and facilitate knowledge and technology transfer around natural science collections. It will prepare the ground for a future pan-European Distributed System of Scientific Collections ([DiSSCo][3]). ---------- The project consists of six Working Groups each of which are led by small teams from institutes across Europe: ---------- **WG1: Assessment of existing systems and standards** Co-leads: Patricia Mergen BE (patricia.mergen [at] plantentuinmeise.be) & Alexander Weigand LU (Alexander.WEIGAND [at] mnhn.lu) [WG1 Page on Wiki][4] [WG1 Page on Project Website][5] ---------- **WG 2: Development of Standards and Guidelines for Data gathering and large-scale digitisation of collection objects** Co-leads: Elspeth Haston E (e.haston [at] rbge.org.uk) & Arnald Marcer (arnald.marcer [at] uab.cat [WG2 Page on Wiki][6] [WG2 Page on Project Website][7] ---------- **WG 3: New Concepts and Standards for Data management in relation to content, curation, quality management, technical framework and documentation** Co-leads: Eva Haffner DE (e.haffner [at] bgbm.org) & Wouter Addink NL (wouter.addink [at] naturalis.nl) [WG3 Page on Wiki][8] [WG3 Page on Project Website][9] ---------- **WG 4: Development of Standards and Guidelines for Data Archiving and long-term preservation in relation to content, curation, technical and documentation** Co-leads: [WG4 Page on Wiki][10] [WG4 Page on Project Website][11] ---------- **WG 5: Development of Standards and Guidelines for Data publication, including portals and publishers** Co-leads: [WG5 Page on Wiki][12] [WG5 Page on Project Website][13] ---------- **WG 6: Education and Training, Dissemination and Outreach** Co-leads: [WG6 Page on Wiki][14] [WG6 Page on Project Website][15] ---------- [Management Committee][16] [1]: https://mfr.de-1.osf.io/export?url=https://osf.io/r6kwg/?action=download&mode=render&direct&public_file=False&initialWidth=848&childId=mfrIframe&parentTitle=OSF%20%7C%20mobiliseLogoMedium.png&parentUrl=https://osf.io/r6kwg/&format=2400x2400.jpeg [2]: http://www.mobilise-action.eu/ [3]: https://dissco.eu/ [4]: https://osf.io/65mqt/wiki/home/ [5]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-1/ [6]: https://osf.io/59e8r/wiki/home/ [7]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-2/ [8]: https://osf.io/xkr83/wiki/home/ [9]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-3/ [10]: https://osf.io/wq7ej/wiki/home/ [11]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-4/ [12]: https://osf.io/7g46q/wiki/home/ [13]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-5/ [14]: https://osf.io/3rnfa/wiki/home/ [15]: https://www.mobilise-action.eu/wg-6/ [16]: https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA17106/#tabs%7CName:management-committee
