Description: The article analyzes the information about the political and social campaigns "cotton case" and "Uzbek case" that took place in the Uzbek SSR in the 80s of the 20th century. This campaign, which was part of the process of "reconstruction" of the entire former Soviet Union, was analyzed using archival documents, scientific papers and literature.
