Description: The broad purpose of this study is to establish how experiences of rejection on a (bogus) dating website impact mate choice, We also hope to examine the role of ideal partner standards and flexibility in mate choice on a dating website pre and post rejection. We also seek to explore whether these relationships are impacted by self-perceived mate value, self-esteem, and rejection sensitivity. Finally, we hope to establish whether reported ideal standards align with responses to purportedly public dating profile descriptions.
